MY STORY

‘Freedom, business and making an impact – these are what matter most to me, and I have spent the last 20 years endeavouring to live these values every day.’

Christine Khor

My passion for business was ignited during my time in FMCG marketing for blue-chip businesses such as Kraft Foods (now Mondelez), Simplot Australia and Hallmark Cards, where I learned the importance of branding, connecting with consumers, marketing and business planning.

I started my first business, Market Partners, in 2000, after seeing an opportunity for sales and marketing professionals to recruit for sales and marketing. With no understanding of recruitment or how to run a small business, we were told that we couldn’t possibly succeed. Twenty years later, now as Chorus Executive, we’re still serving our clients and candidates.

Chorus Executive is a full-service talent management business offering Executive Recruitment and Coaching, Leadership and Personal Branding. We connect people with shared goals and values. Our success led to the publication of my book, Hire Love.

However, I wanted to make an even bigger impact, so in 2018 we launched Peeplcoach.com, an on-demand career health and wellbeing platform. This technology-enabled, human-driven coaching platform allows us to meet thousands of individuals at a lower cost than traditional coaching services. Recognised as a Top 50 Start-Up by APAC Business Magazine, we work with organisations such as Fonterra Brands, Dulux, ANZ Bank and Latrobe City Council.

I believe I have a duty to support those without the privileges I’ve had, so in 2012, after a life-changing trip to Uganda with The Hunger Project, I joined their Victorian board and am now a chair on the national board.

I love change, new experiences and pushing boundaries, both personally and professionally. I have danced on a bar with Richard Branson on Necker Island, jumped into the Antarctic Ocean with 80 other entrepreneurs, travelled to the Amazon to launch my first book and experienced the power people have to create positive change in their lives in Uganda and Malawi with the Hunger project. At my heart I am an adventurer, seeking out opportunities to learn and to share my story, presenting on career, leadership, women, empowerment, start-ups and fulfilling your dreams.
